Some Nigerians, including children, have reportedly cried out for urgent assistance after allegedly being left stranded outside the Nigerian Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa, for several weeks.

The affected individuals are said to have been waiting for evacuation support, claiming that the flights arranged so far have not been enough to accommodate everyone seeking to return home.

In a video circulating online, some of the stranded Nigerians appealed to the Federal Government to intervene and provide additional assistance to ensure their safe return.

“We are stranded at the Nigerian Embassy, we have been here for weeks. Please, Nigerian government, the flights provided so far are not enough,” one of the individuals was heard saying.

The situation has raised concerns among Nigerians online, with many calling on relevant authorities to look into the matter and provide immediate support for those affected, especially vulnerable persons and children.

The stranded citizens are reportedly hoping that more evacuation arrangements will be made to enable them return to Nigeria after their prolonged stay outside the embassy.
