Super Falcons midfielder, Toni Payne is excited with the opportunity to test herself in the Italian top-flight, DAILY POST reports.
Payne, 31, completed a move to Inter Women from English Women’s Super League, WSL, club Everton on Saturday.
The versatile midfielder signed a contract until 2028, ending her two-year stint with Everton.
The Nigerian had previously played in United States of America, and Spain.
Payne is relishing the challenge of playing in another major league in Europe.
“It’s a really competitive league. I think I have a couple of qualities that I can really demonstrate here, so I’m really excited to do that in the upcoming seasons,” she told Inter’s official website.
The player, who represented USA at the youth level before switching international allegiance to Nigeria is in Super Falcons’ squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
