‎Two Lives Lost In Ogun As Motorcycle Collides With Vehicle

‎A fatal accident in Ogun State on Monday, July 20, 2026, claimed the lives of a man and a woman, the crash occurred at Koto Ajala, inbound Owode, when a motorcycle collided with a Dongfeng pickup vehicle.

‎This was confirmed on Tuesday morning, July 21,2026, via an official statement issued by Babatunde Akinbiyi, the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency spokesperson.

‎ Akinbiyi, stated that the collision was primarily caused by the motorcyclist’s excessive speed and subsequent loss of control.

‎He noted that an eyewitness said the motorcycle rider lost control while descending Koto Ajala outbound Owode and rammed into the oncoming Dongfeng pickup.

‎He added that the two occupants of the motorcycle died in the crash.

‎He stated, “The motorcycle, with registration number FFF 689 HA, collided with the Dongfeng pickup bearing registration number GGE 200 KP.

‎The crash claimed the lives of the two occupants of the motorcycle, while no other injuries were recorded.

‎”FRSC officials evacuated the bodies to the Fakoya Hospital Morgue in Sagamu.”

‎Akinbiyi noted that the damaged motorcycle and the pickup were taken to the police station within the area for further investigation.

‎“Traffic was partially affected immediately after the crash but normalcy has since been restored on the route following traffic management by TRACE and FRSC officials,” he concluded.

‎According to PUNCH Online, a fatal road crash at Ogere Junction on the Ijebu Ode-Benin Expressway, occurring around 5:10 am on July 9, resulted in two fatalities and two individuals escaping unhurt.

‎The accident had occurred in the early hours of the day and involved a white Mack truck with registration number ABC660XC and an orange Peugeot J5 bus with an unknown registration number
