US air strikes targeting bridges in Iran have left at least one person dead and eight others injured, according to Iranian media.
Iran’s state broadcaster reported that two bridges in the city of Bandar Khamir, in Hormozgan province, were hit. The targets were identified as the Kohurestan Bridge and the Jiroh Bridge.
US aircraft also destroyed the bridge linking the Iranian cities of Bandar Abbas and Shiraz.
Another Iranian report said US missiles landed near the city of Sirik.

Reports also said one person was killed and eight others were injured in one of the attacks.
A US military statement said the aim of the strikes was “to further degrade Iran’s military capabilities”.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement that US forces had launched “a new wave of air strikes on Iran for the sixth consecutive night to weaken Iran’s military capabilities”. The operation began at 2 p.m. Eastern Time (1800 GMT), or 9:30 p.m. Tehran time.
Iran has responded by launching missiles and drones at US military bases in neighbouring countries, including a recently expanded air base in Jordan.
