Wadada Project Appoints LGA Coordinators, Women Leaders to Boost Grassroots Mobilisation in Nasarawa

The Ahmed Aliyu Wadada Project has appointed 13 Local Government Area (LGA) Coordinators and 13 LGA Women Leaders as part of efforts to strengthen its grassroots mobilisation structure across Nasarawa State ahead of the 2027 governorship election.The appointments were announced in a statement signed by the project’s Secretary, Nasiru Abdullahi, and made available to journalists in Lafia.
According to the statement, the appointments were approved by the project’s leadership under the chairmanship of Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development and Overseer of the Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport. The statement said the appointments form part of the project’s strategy to expand grassroots engagement and stakeholder participation in support of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada’s governorship ambition.
Among those appointed as LGA Coordinators are Larry Ven Bawa (Akwanga), Aliyu Dogara (Wamba), Yusuf Mada (Nasarawa Eggon), Abdullahi Angibi (Lafia), David Moyi (Obi), Usman Abubakar Kekura (Awe), Joseph Attah (Doma), Mohammed Atose (Keana), Kasimu Abdullahi (Keffi), Abraham Ekpo (Karu), Abubakar Obere (Kokona) and Mohammed Shege (Toto).
The coordinator for Nasarawa LGA is yet to be announced.The project also named 13 Women Leaders to coordinate mobilisation across the LGAs. According to the statement, the newly appointed officials will be inaugurated on July 31, 2026, at the Wadada Campaign Office along Jos Road in Lafia.
