Why Peller and Jarvis should have signed a prenup before marriage – Ossai Ovie

Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, has shared his thoughts following the court wedding of TikTok stars Peller and Jarvis, saying he hopes the couple signed a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot.
In a post shared on his Facebook page, he congratulated the newlyweds but admitted he would be disappointed if they entered the marriage without a prenup, arguing that fame, money and marriage require wisdom to manage.

According to him, both Peller and Jarvis have built successful personal brands, making it important to clearly define ownership of assets and earnings from the onset.
In his words, he wrote:
“I hope Peller and Jarvis signed a prenup before getting married. Congratulations to them, but I am disappointed if they didn’t. I say this as someone who wants to see them win. Marriage is sweet, but marriage + money + fame + internet? That one needs wisdom.”

Ossai explained that when two public figures marry, people often become interested in their finances, properties, gifts and endorsement deals, insisting that a prenuptial agreement helps prevent future disputes.
He added that such an agreement also reduces the chances of social media controversies and family interference if disagreements ever arise.
“Peller has brands, streams and gifts. Jarvis has her own career and brand too. A prenup makes it clear what belongs to who, so business doesn’t kill love. Signing a prenup doesn’t mean you’re planning divorce,” he added.
His comments have since generated mixed reactions online, with some agreeing that a prenup is a practical decision, while others argued that it sends the wrong message at the beginning of a marriage.
