Afrobeats star, Ayra Starr has recorded another major career milestone as her third studio album, Starrgirl, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard World Albums chart.
The achievement was reflected on the Billboard World Albums chart for the week of August 29, 2026, less than two weeks after the album was released.
Starrgirl sits behind three K-pop projects on the chart. Stray Kids’ This & That leads at No. 1, followed by CORTIS’ GREEN GREEN at No. 2 and ATEEZ’s Golden Hour: Part.5 at No. 3. South African singer Tyla’s APOP occupies the fifth position.

Released on August 14 through Mavin Records and Republic Records, Starrgirl marks Ayra Starr’s first studio album since The Year I Turned 21 in 2024.
The 16-track project features collaborations with several Nigerian and international artistes, including Wizkid, Rema, Zayn, Leon Thomas, kwn, Danny Ocean and Theodora.
The Billboard World Albums chart ranks the top-selling world music albums in the United States each week based on sales data.
