Bashir El-Rufai Attacks Brother Bello, Accuses Him Of Working For Uba Sani

Son of Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna state, Bashir El-Rufai has verbally attacked his elder brother and member House of Representatives representing Kaduna North, Bello El-Rufai.
Bashir accused his brother of secretly working for their father’s successor Governor Uba Sani and abandoning the family.
In a series of posts on his X handle, on Saturday, Bashir further stated that his brother is romancing Governor Sani, who parted ways with their father after winning the 2023 governorship election.
El-Rufai had resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC). However, Bello El-Rufai later joined his father in the ADC.
But, Bashir claimed that his brother remained loyal to Governor Sani, who also the leader of APC in Kaduna state, “Stuck with Uba Sani until he realized he is being dumped then suddenly remembered family loyalty and moved to ADC. Where was he since? Purely serving his interest,” Bashir wrote.
He further accused his brother of
asking him to stop criticizing his former boss whom Bashir was apparently referring to as Governor Sani who Bello served as his legislative aide while at the National Assembly between 2019 to 2023, “pipe down my criticism of his former boss. At this stage in my life, I hate nonsense,” he stated.
Though some of Bashir’s X posts were later deleted.
Former governor Nasir el-Rufai, their father has been in the custody of Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for almost 200 days now as he was arraigned at the both Federal and Kaduna state high courts on charges bordering on alleged corrupt practices and abuse of office.
El-Rufai is also facing charges over alleged wiretapping at the Federal High Court Abuja brought against him by the Department of State Services (DSS).
