Big Brother Naija Season 11 took a dramatic turn on Monday as Biggie introduced a fresh twist to the Week 5 nomination process, forcing housemates to publicly reveal who they wanted to save.
Following the usual Conspiracy Hour, each housemate was given an envelope, pen and paper and instructed to nominate two housemates they wished to save. Unlike previous weeks, however, the choices could not remain private.
After making their selections, the housemates were required to read them aloud before the entire House and explain the reasons behind their decisions.
The unusual process exposed alliances, friendships and loyalties, while also putting several housemates under pressure to defend their choices in front of those they had either saved or overlooked.
At the end of the exercise, Sheba, Goddessa and Aikou emerged as the three housemates saved by their colleagues.
However, the nomination twist handed the final decision to the Head of House, Chimsom Chuka, who had to choose just one of the three for immunity.
Chimsom picked Sheba, leaving Aikou and Goddessa to face possible eviction through the public vote.
With Abi, the Most Influential Player of the Week, already enjoying immunity, Chimsom protected as Head of House and Sheba now safe, the remaining housemates up for eviction are Araga, Barry, Bells, Bluethopia, Gerard, Goddessa, Keivo, Nomy, Oyin, Ricky, Sultex, Temi Nkem, Tram and Yusuf.
Chimsom Chuka Wins HoH for Second Time
Chimsom Chuka has strengthened his position in the House after winning the Head of House challenge for the second time this season.
His latest victory gives him significant influence over the direction of the week, particularly after Biggie’s nomination twist handed him the power to determine which of the three saved housemates would receive immunity.
By choosing Sheba, Chimsom has once again demonstrated his growing influence in the House as the competition enters another crucial stage.
Biggie Turns the House “Topsy Turvy”
The latest developments come as Big Brother introduces the “Topsy Turvy” theme for the week.
The concept turns the usual order of things upside down, with familiar routines, expectations and roles being disrupted as housemates navigate a week where nothing can be taken for granted.
Voting Opens
With the nomination process completed, voting is now open for viewers to decide which housemates will remain in the competition.
Voting closes at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, with fans able to cast their votes through the MyDStv and MyGOtv apps or the Africa Magic website.
