Brymo accuses 2Face, Burna Boy and Davido over alleged cult incident

Nigerian singer Brymo has made fresh allegations against fellow musicians 2Face Idibia, Burna Boy and Davido, claiming that the three artistes knew about an alleged incident in which he was reportedly lured to Chevron in 2019 and pressured to join a secret cult.

He made the allegation during a recent interview on the Lahor Talk podcast, where he discussed his long-running disagreements with some of Nigeria’s biggest music stars.

The singer’s latest comments come amid his continued feud with Burna Boy, who previously referenced Brymo’s career in a diss track, saying, “Hustle make you no go fall off like Brymo.”

The remark sparked a strong reaction from Brymo, who later threatened to take revenge against Burna Boy and insisted that he was not interested in receiving an apology from the Grammy-winning singer.

During the interview, Brymo was asked whether he would forgive Burna Boy if the singer withdrew his controversial comment about his career.

However, he immediately rejected the idea of forgiveness, saying that his grievances with Burna Boy, 2Face and Davido went beyond music or the diss track.

“Which forgiveness? I don’t have forgiveness on Burna Boy, 2Face or Davido. I want them to tell me that they truly don’t know about wetin happened to me for Chevron or not,” he said.

According to Brymo, the incident happened in 2019 when he was allegedly invited to Chevron under the impression that he was going to be hosted.

He claimed that the situation later changed and that he was pressured to join a cult.

His further alleged that the names of Burna Boy, Davido and 2Face were mentioned by the people who were allegedly pressuring him.

“When I got attacked. When I was lured into being hosted. Only to be told that I need to join cult. And they mentioned their names,” he alleged.

The singer questioned why the three artistes had allegedly remained silent about the matter for several years.

“Why are they still quiet about it since all these years if you’re not involved?” he asked.

He stressed that he was not seeking an apology from any of the musicians.

Instead, he challenged Burna Boy, Davido and 2Face to publicly deny any involvement in the alleged incident.

“This year 2026 is the 7th anniversary of the incident. It happened in 2019. I’m not asking for an apology. Just be a man and say, ‘Brymo, I have nothing to do with it,’” he stated.

He maintained that until the musicians publicly distance themselves from the allegation, he would continue to hold them responsible in his own account of what happened.

“That’s what they have to say because as long as they don’t say that, they did it,” Brymo alleged.

The singer also vowed to continue speaking about the matter, saying he would not stop until the musicians addressed his claims.

“I will keep saying it till it destroys your legacy completely. You will speak up. I’m not asking for any apology,” he said.

His latest allegation adds another chapter to his public disagreement with Burna Boy.

The dispute intensified after Burna Boy appeared to mock his career in his lyrics. Brymo subsequently accused Burna Boy of offending him and warned that he would seek revenge.

The singer previously said he did not care about the “fraternity” Burna Boy belonged to and insisted that the Grammy winner had crossed a line with him.

However, his latest comments suggest that the disagreement is rooted in what Brymo describes as a much older and more serious personal experience.

It is important to note that his allegations against 2Face, Burna Boy and Davido are claims made by him and have not been established as facts. The three artistes have not, in the material provided, publicly confirmed his account of the alleged 2019 incident.

The allegations have nevertheless generated renewed interest in his relationship with some of Nigeria’s leading music stars and could potentially trigger further responses if the artistes decide to address the claims.
