Jordyn Woods Emotionally Defends Having Jaden Smith ‘With All The Girls’ At Her Wedding

Jordyn Woods And Jaden Smith

Jordyn Woods has made one thing clear: Jaden Smith earned his spot on her bridal train.

Woods shared her photos with Smith, showing a bond that has lasted since childhood and the amazing role he played for her husband on the big day.

Jordyn Woods and Karl Anthony Towns recently married in Malibu after beginning their relationship in 2020. Their romance followed years of friendship, while their engagement came in December 2025. Their wedding has now brought attention back to the longtime friendships that have remained part of Woods’ life.

Woods opened her wedding photo carousel with a question about Smith appearing alongside her bridesmaids. “Why is Jaden with all of the girls?” she wrote over the first picture, which showed Smith with the girls. One of the photos showed Smith helping Towns with his shoes.

A lot of the pictures she posted were childhood photos of Smith and her. “Because he’s never missed any important moment in my life,” Woods wrote over their childhood picture.

Woods also recalled Smith being present at her father’s funeral and making the family laugh. She said he had never missed a birthday and described herself as lucky to have never known life without their friendship.

In her TikTok caption, she described Smith as the “epitome of a day ONE,” saying he had been there “from diapers to marriage.” The TikTok post sparked comments with fans embracing the longtime friendship.

One person called it “proof that boys and girls can truly be friends,” while another wrote, “soulmates aren’t always lovers.” Others described the bond as “friendship goals” and said, “Everybody needs a Jaden in their life!”

A Friendship That Started Before Fame

The connection between Woods and Smith predates her much-talked-about friendship with Kylie Jenner. Smith actually helped bring Woods and Jenner together when they were barely 14 and preparing to start high school.

Their families were connected even earlier. Woods’ late father, John Woods, worked as a television sound engineer and met Will Smith while working on “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.”

Woods then grew up around the Smith family and eventually became especially close with Jaden. Smith once described Woods as one of the first people he ever met. Their childhood connection continued through birthdays, family events, and major milestones.

In 2012 summer, Jaden and Jenner were hanging out when he suggested that they invite Jordyn over too. Jenner revealed that she met Jaden in middle school, while Jordyn has known him her whole life. “All these years and we’re closer than ever still. No longer teens,” Jordyn wrote, wishing Jaden a happy 20th birthday.

The friendship also continued through their teenage years and adulthood. ENews also revealed that Woods attended Smith’s events, while he supported her modeling and business ventures. Their bond remained visible even as Woods became known publicly through her connection to Jenner and the Kardashian family.

The newlywed couple carried a piece of New York into their Malibu wedding. The couple became legally married in front of family and friends on the 15th of August, adding a basketball-inspired touch to their celebration.

Woods wore a strapless sweetheart gown with a fitted bodice and long, draped skirt in shiny silk. She completed the look with a lace scarf, floor-length veil and sleek bun, while Towns wore a classic black tuxedo with two brooches.

The Blast reported that the afterparty brought the biggest nod to Towns’ basketball career. Guests wore black hoodies that had the words, “married in 5,” referencing the New York Knicks’ Game 5 victory over the San Antonio Spurs earlier in the summer to secure the NBA championship.

A Pandemic Love Story

Woods and Towns began dating in 2020 after several years of friendship. Their relationship became public four months later, when they shared photos from their Mexico vacation during Woods’ 23rd birthday. The COVID-19 pandemic eventually pushed their friendship toward romance.

The couple became engaged last December after Towns proposed with New York serving as the backdrop. Their relationship has also survived difficult periods, with Towns crediting Woods for helping him stay steady through personal losses, rehab and other challenges.

Woods and Towns’ wedding brought together a notable guest list, including Kylie Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Teyana Taylor, Jada Pinkett Smith, Michael B. Jordan, Gayle King, Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and “Love Island USA” alum Leah Kateb.

Jordyn Woods Had Her Fairytale Wedding Look

Woods wore three gowns designed by Danielle Frankel throughout her wedding day. Her ceremony gown was strapless silk with lace detailing and a lace neck scarf, with special attention given to the smooth stomach area and precise ruching.

Her second look came together unexpectedly when Frankel asked Woods to lift part of the dress. The fabric draped so beautifully that they pinned it in place, creating a strapless lace-skirt design. The Blast shared that Woods described the creative process behind all three looks as inspiring.

For her final look, Woods changed into a silk column dress with a low back and silk scarf. She praised the creativity and craftsmanship behind the three designs, calling the entire process inspiring. Woods later detailed the designs in a behind-the-scenes Vogue video.

Jordyn Woods’ wedding was also a celebration of important people in her life, including Jaden Smith.
