Kebbi: Troops foil bandits’ attack, rescue construction workers

Troops of Operation CLEAN SWEEP IV have rescued construction workers after suspected bandits attacked their work site at Tsatsunbe Village in Southern Kebbi State.
The incident was reported by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama on Friday, August 14, 2026, following an attack on construction workers operating in the area.
The troops swiftly moved to the location and engaged the attackers, forcing them to retreat into the surrounding bushes.
“The troops swiftly mobilised to the location and engaged the attackers with superior firepower.
“The troops subsequently searched the area and recovered three motorcycles abandoned by the fleeing attackers.
“The construction workers had taken refuge in the bushes during the attack and were later located by the troops and safely escorted back to their camp.
“No casualty was reported among the construction workers during the incident,”.
