A lady has broken down in tears after her ex-boyfriend asked her to return a fridge he bought for her while they were dating.
The woman shared her emotional reaction in a viral video after receiving a WhatsApp message from her former boyfriend.
According to the message, the man asked her to prepare the fridge because his friend, Femi, would come to collect it.
He wrote, “Please get the fridge I bought for you ready, Femi is coming to pick it up this evening or tomorrow morning. E go too pain me if I leave am for you.”
The woman was upset by the request and questioned whether gifts given to a partner during a relationship should be taken back after a breakup.
She explained that her ex-boyfriend bought her a Skyron fridge a few months ago but recently contacted her from another number to inform her that his friend would come for it.
The lady described his action as unnecessary and childish, although she said she had already emptied the fridge and was ready to return it.
She also revealed that she planned to return other items her ex had bought for her during their relationship.
“I will not just allow him to pick only the fridge. Whatever he bought for me while we were together, the shoes, the bag, everything, I’ll put them inside the fridge and send them to him,” she said.
Her story has sparked reactions online, with social media users sharing different opinions about whether gifts should be returned after a relationship ends.
