Wunmi Aloba, the widow of late singer Mohbad, has sparked reactions online after she was spotted spending time with Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage, with the pair seen vibing and enjoying each other’s company.
The moment has attracted attention coming amid the long-running controversy surrounding Wunmi, her late husband’s family and the paternity of her son, Liam.
The DNA dispute has remained unresolved nearly three years after Mohbad’s death. In September 2025, an Ikorodu Magistrate’s Court ordered DNA tests on Liam, with the procedure to be conducted at accredited facilities in Nigeria and abroad.
More recently, developments surrounding the court-approved testing facilities have added another layer to the controversy. In March 2026, reports said two of the three laboratories approved for the process indicated that they could not carry out the required testing involving samples from an embalmed body.
VeryDarkMan has also been heavily involved in the DNA controversy, having repeatedly questioned Wunmi over the paternity of Liam. He previously alleged that Wunmi and actress Iyabo Ojo had conducted a private DNA test and withheld the result, a claim that has not been established as fact.
Wunmi has previously said she was willing to undergo the DNA test, insisting that she had agreed to the request and that the process should be properly handled.
Against this backdrop, the video of Wunmi and Tiwa Savage has generated a fresh wave of reactions, with some Nigerians focusing on the widow’s appearance and others referencing the unresolved DNA dispute.
