The Nigerian forward extended that run on Saturday, striking again as Galatasaray edged Göztepe 3-2 in a tense, end-to-end derby. Göztepe shocked the Turkish champions early, snatching a 16th-minute lead. That tally includes a converted penalty and an assist recorded in the win over Göztepe alone. The result also lifted Galatasaray to the top of the Turkish Süper Lig table after three matches, as they push to retain the title they currently hold.
Galatasaray reportedly rejected a €125 million offer for Osimhen, choosing to keep their Nigerian striker rather than cash in mid-season. The figure places him among the most highly valued forwards in European football right now.
