The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has constituted a 73-member Election Management Council to coordinate its campaign ahead of the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
The council comprises prominent figures from the national leadership and its broader political coalition, including former Speaker of the House of Representatives and former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal; former Deputy Speaker of the House and former Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha; former Cross River State Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke; and retired General Kabiru Nadama.
The ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, announced the composition of the council in a statement on Saturday.
According to the statement, Imoke will head the council, while Tambuwal will serve as Chairman. Ihedioha and Nadama were appointed co-chairmen.
According to the party, the council will oversee its campaign operations, including mobilisation, coordination of activities and preparations for the final campaign rally.
The ADC is scheduled to hold its final campaign rally on Monday, August 10, at Nelson Mandela Freedom Park in Osogbo. The event is expected to begin at noon.
The party said the rally would attract its national leaders, governorship candidate, coalition partners, campaign officials, supporters and other members of the public.
It also directed all members of the 73-member council to be present at the rally as part of the party’s final mobilisation efforts ahead of the election.
