Osun Election 2026: Keyamo Congratulates Adeleke, Says ‘Agreement Is Agreement’

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has congratulated Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election, describing the victory as historic.
Keyamo, in two separate posts on X on Sunday, joined other political figures in congratulating Adeleke following his victory in Saturday’s Osun State governorship election.
The minister also referenced Adeleke’s public endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term in 2027, stressing the need for political agreements to be honoured.
Keyamo wrote, “Huge congratulations to Governor Ademola Adeleke on his historic victory in the governorship election in Osun State.
“Thank you, Governor Ademola Adeleke, for the public and unequivocal endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 Presidential Election. You are a man of integrity and honour. ‘Agreement is agreement.’”
The Independent National Electoral Commission had earlier declared Adeleke the winner of the election after he secured the highest number of votes across the state.
The State Returning Officer, Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Prof Joshua Ogunwole, announced the result at about 7:24am on Sunday.
Adeleke, who contested under the Accord Party, polled 511,067 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who secured 444,815 votes.
The Commission recorded 1,005,800 total votes cast, comprising 985,079 valid votes and 20,721 rejected votes.
Keyamo’s congratulatory message comes amid Adeleke’s recent public support for Tinubu’s 2027 presidential ambition, with the minister emphasising that the political understanding between the two leaders should be respected.
