“Owusu Bempah Cursed NPP Because Akufo Addo’s Gov’t Failed To Reward Him But The New Leadership Will Reward Him” — Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah Speaks On Preacher’s NPP Grievances

Media personality and staunch NPP member Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah has weighed in on Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah’s recent public outburst against the NPP, suggesting the preacher’s frustration stems from feeling unrecognised for his role in helping the party win previous elections.

According to Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, “Rev. Owusu Bempah has cursed the NPP because he did not receive his share after his efforts to help bring the party to power. There is going to be new leadership of the NPP, and Owusu Bempah will get what is due to him.”

His comments follow a video and audio recording that surfaced days ago, in which Rev Owusu Bempah declared that the NPP would never return to power for as long as he lives.

In the recording, the preacher claimed the party had failed to properly recognise his contributions from 2017 to 2024, alleging that instead of appreciation, he faced constant attacks from within the party.

The remarks has also added to an already tense period for the NPP, with internal divisions and criticism from prominent party-aligned figures becoming more frequent in recent weeks.
