PDP Candidate, Galadima Donates 35KVA Transformer To Taraba Community
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, Alhaji Muktar Galadima, has donated a 35KVA transformer to Ungwan Ciki community in Ibi local government area of Taraba State.
Galadima, who presented the transformer to the community yesterday, said the intervention was aimed at addressing the prolonged electricity blackout that had affected the residents and businesses in the area.
Represented by the director-general of his campaign organisation, Mr Zando Hoku, the candidate said the donation followed repeated complaints by the residents over the breakdown of the community’s transformer.
He said the prolonged power outage had disrupted economic and social activities in Ungwan Ciki, saying the intervention was intended to alleviate the hardship faced by the people.
Alhaji Galadima also pledged to facilitate the provision of other basic and social amenities to communities within the constituency.
Receiving the transformer on behalf of the community, the Sarkin Ibi, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abubakar Danbawuro III, expressed appreciation to Galadima for responding to the plight of the residents.
The monarch said the donation would bring relief to residents who had endured hardship due to the prolonged power outage.
Alhaji Danbawuro appealed to well to do individuals to emulate the gesture by supporting projects that would improve the living conditions of their communities.
He commended Galadima for responding to the community’s complaints within one week and prayed for God’s blessings on him and others who contributed to the intervention.
Some of the residents who spoke, urged constituents to assess political leadership based on concrete interventions and tangible achievements rather than promises.
