Praiz delights music lovers at Lagos ‘RnB Room’

By Oladele Eniola
Nigerian singer, Praise Adejo, popularly known as Praiz, on Sunday night, thrilled music lovers with an electrifying live performance at his ‘RnB Room’ show.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the event, held at the Live Lounge, Victoria Island, is a monthly show for RnB lovers.

The event attracted contemporary R&B lovers and also featured performances from Fome, Beekay, MichStraaw, Faidvine and Highbreed.

With his signature soulful vocals and R&B sound, Praiz treated the audience to a selection of his hits, holding their attention from start to finish.

He performed his hit singles such as ‘Rich and Famous’, ‘Sisi’, ‘I Love You’, ‘69’, as the crowd vibed to his vocals.

The show also gave other R&B artistes a platform to showcase their talent, even as it celebrated the genre’s growing audience in Nigeria.

Some attendees who spoke with NAN expressed excitement about the event.

Daniel Adeyemi, who attended the show with his girlfriend, said he was excited to watch Praiz perform live and commended the organisers for creating the platform.

“I have always enjoyed Praiz’s music but seeing him perform live is a completely different experience.

“His performance has been amazing and I have enjoyed every moment of it. I wish the show could continue for much longer,” he said.

Chinedu Okafor, who attended the event with his friends, said he was thrilled by the performances throughout the night.

“I have been enjoying myself since I arrived. The performances have been great, not just from Praiz but also from the other artistes.

“I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere because everyone came to have a good time and appreciate good R&B music,” he said.

Also, Blessing Akinola, who attended the event with her female friends, said the show demonstrated the importance of live performances in connecting artistes with their audiences.

“Artistes should continue to embrace live performances because there is a unique connection between the performer and the audience.

“Praiz has shown that good live music can create a different atmosphere, and we have really enjoyed ourselves tonight,” she said.

For Emeka Nwosu, the performance provided an opportunity to relax and unwind after a stressful period.

“The performances have been really uplifting for me. It has been a tough couple of days, but coming here and listening to good music has helped me relax.

“Events like this have a way of changing one’s mood, and I am glad I decided to attend,” he said.

On her part, Tolu Adekunle described the event as entertaining and urged organisers to stage more R&B-themed live shows.

“Shows like this are important because they bring music lovers together and also give emerging artistes an opportunity to connect with new audiences.

“I enjoyed the performances from Praiz and the other artistes, and I hope to see more events like this in Lagos,” she said. (NAN)(http://www.nannews.ng)
