SHOCKER: Man Travels from Lagos to Kaduna for Facebook Romance, Returns Same Day After ‘Apartment’ Drama

A Nigerian man has shared a shocking and embarrassing experience after traveling all the way from Lagos to Kaduna to meet a woman he met on Facebook, only to be sent back the same day under bizarre circumstances.

According to the account, the man said the lady had invited him to spend two weeks with her, assuring him she lived alone and would accommodate him. Despite informing her that he could not afford hotel expenses and only had transport fare, she reportedly insisted he should come.

Trusting her words, the man embarked on the long journey from Lagos to Kaduna, arriving at about 5pm. He was picked up at the motor park by the lady and taken to what he believed was her residence.

After settling in, taking a shower, and changing into more comfortable clothing, the man said he relaxed in the living room, expecting the visit to unfold as planned.

However, the situation took a dramatic turn minutes later.

A knock was heard on the door, followed by a female voice outside saying she had missed her trip and would no longer be traveling. Shortly after, another woman entered the apartment with luggage—raising immediate suspicion.

It was at that moment the man realized the shocking truth: the apartment did not belong to the woman who invited him.

Confronted with the situation, the lady reportedly apologized and confessed that the apartment belonged to her friend, who actually lived there with her boyfriend.

Without further explanation, she asked him to leave.

The man was immediately escorted back to the motor park that same evening and put on a return journey to Lagos.

He arrived in Ojota the following day, stunned and struggling to process the ordeal.

The bizarre incident has since sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians describing it as a cautionary tale about online relationships and the risks of blind trust.

For the victim, however, the reality remains painful and unforgettable: a long-distance trip that ended almost as soon as it began.
