Nollywood actress Bimbo Adebayo has publicly opened up about her prolonged disagreement with actor Ibrahim Yekini, better known as Itele D Icon, in an emotional social media post.
The actress took to Instagram on Monday, August 31, 2026, to address the strained relationship, describing Itele as her senior colleague, brother and friend.
Bimbo extended an olive branch after months of tension, hurt and unresolved issues, choosing to focus on forgiveness and peace rather than revisit what caused the disagreement.
Reflecting on the situation, she wrote:
“For Almost A Year, There’s Been Silence Between Us… A Whole Year Of Hurt, Pride And Things Left Unsaid… Even Though I Was Deeply Hurt By What Happened… But Today, I Have Come To Realize That Holding On To Pain Only Keeps The Wound Open,”
Bimbo also made it clear that her decision to reach out was entirely her own and that nobody influenced her to make the post.
“I’m Not Making This Post Bcos Someone Ask Me To Oooo, Before God And Man!” she stated.
According to the actress, the prolonged silence made her realise that some disagreements are not worth holding on to, especially when peace and reconciliation are still possible.
Speaking about her personality, Bimbo described herself as someone who is known to be strong-willed.
“For Everyone That Knows Me, Knows I’m OMO LILE! But Some Battles Are Not Worth Winning… Sometimes All Your Heart Truly Want Is PEACE.”
She directed her message to Itele’s Instagram account, @iteledicon01, while encouraging her followers to tag him in the post and pray for a peaceful resolution between them.
Itele D Icon appeared to accept the apology almost immediately. About an hour after Bimbo shared the message, the actor responded in the comment section, dismissing the disagreement as a misunderstanding and expressing his willingness to move forward.
“It’s all gone, my sister. ❤️ It’s not that deep, it was just a misunderstanding. No hard feelings at all. Let’s leave it all in the past and move forward in peace. 🙏 May God forgives us all ❤️,” he wrote.
Veteran Nollywood actress Faithia Williams also applauded Bimbo for taking the step towards reconciliation.
“Bimbo this is really nice of you.. Appreciate you more.. Itele, thank you.. Let love lead 💯👏❤️“ she commented.
