TikTok Influencer Confronts Police Over Attempted Arrest of Men for Kissing (Video)

A Ghanaian TikTok influencer known as Ahmed has gone viral after confronting police officers who allegedly attempted to arrest two of his male friends for kissing in public.
The incident, which was captured during a livestream on Tuesday night, has sparked widespread discussion on social media.
In the videos circulating online, Ahmed, who identifies as effeminate, is seen challenging the officers to cite the specific law under which they intended to make the arrest.
Referring to Ghana’s proposed anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, Ahmed argued that the bill had not become law and therefore could not be used as a basis for arresting his friends.
“If the foolish LGBTQ law hasn’t been passed yet, then don’t tell me that I can’t kiss a guy,” he is heard saying in one of the clips.
In another video, Ahmed insists that his friends would not go with the officers unless they could point to a law prohibiting two men from kissing.
He repeatedly challenged the officers to identify the legal provision that justified the attempted arrest.
The videos have since generated mixed reactions online, with many social media users debating the incident, legal rights, and Ghana’s ongoing discussions surrounding the proposed anti-LGBTQ+ legislation.
