Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor has reportedly secured personal terms with Mohamed Salah on a two-year contract, according to FootballTransfers citing Turkish transfer journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.
The Egyptian star bid farewell to Liverpool at the end of the 2025/26 season after a spectacular nine-year spell. He leaves Anfield as one of the Premier League’s all-time greats, having scored 191 goals and provided 93 assists in 315 Premier League appearances for the Reds.
Across all competitions, Salah netted over 250 goals and contributed more than 120 assists in more than 430 games, helping Liverpool claim multiple major trophies including the Premier League title and Champions League.

Salah became a free agent after his Liverpool exit. Saudi Pro League clubs pursued him aggressively, while MLS sides San Diego and Sporting Kansas City also showed interest. Yet recent reports indicate the 34-year-old prefers to stay in European football.
Trabzonspor finished third in the Turkish Super Lig last season and has remained active in the transfer market. The club prepares for its UEFA Europa League playoff later this month and sees Salah as the transformative signing that could close the gap on Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
Sabuncuoglu claims Salah has already agreed personal terms. However, uncertainty lingers. Just days earlier, Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan publicly dismissed reports of an agreement, stating no deal existed and no plans were in place to bring Salah to Trabzon for talks.
Salah’s numbers underscore why clubs across continents chase him. In his debut Liverpool season (2017/18) he exploded with 44 goals in 52 games. He followed that with consistent double-digit goal tallies every campaign, peaking again in 2024/25 with 34 goals and 23 assists across all competitions.
He ranks among the Premier League’s highest goalscorers and holds the record for most assists by a Liverpool player in the competition.
