Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has addressed claims that she does not collaborate with or support female artistes in the Nigerian music industry.
The singer dismissed the allegation, describing it as untrue and explaining that she has featured female artistes on songs in the past.
According to Tiwa, the major challenge is that some of the female artistes she has worked with do not put enough effort into promoting the songs after their release.
She noted that despite collaborating with female acts, she is often criticised whenever she chooses to work with male artistes.
“People say I don’t feature female artists which is a lie. When I feature female artists, they don’t promote the songs. But when I collaborate with Odumodublvck, they start complaining,” Tiwa Savage said.
Her comments have sparked reactions among music fans, with many weighing in on the broader conversation about collaboration, promotion and support among female artistes in the Nigerian music industry.
