Nigerian singer Segun Johnson has sparked reactions online after sharing his opinion on what it means to be a millionaire.
Speaking about wealth and the value of money in Nigeria, Johnson argued that having ₦100 million should not automatically qualify someone as a millionaire.
He said:
“The fact that you have 100 million Naira doesn’t mean you’re a millionaire. If you don’t have 1 million dollars now, you’re not a millionaire”
His comment has generated a debate on social media, with some Nigerians saying he was highlighting the declining value of the naira, while others insisted that anyone with at least ₦1 million is technically a millionaire.
