AATREN PRESIDENT HAILS MEMBERS AFTER SUCCESSFUL 2026 ISESE FESTIVAL
Elegushi Commends Unity, Discipline as Traditional Religion Practitioners Reaffirm Commitment to Isese

The President of the African Association of Traditional Religion Practitioners, Nigeria and Overseas (AATREN), High Chief Ifasegun Elegushi, has commended members of the association for the peaceful, successful and well-organised 2026 Isese Festival.
High Chief Elegushi gave the commendation at AATREN’s first meeting following the August 20 celebration, describing the successful festival as a powerful demonstration of unity, discipline and the collective commitment of traditional religion practitioners to the preservation and promotion of Isese.
He praised members for their dedication and exemplary conduct before, during and after the festival, noting that their collective efforts had further strengthened the image and identity of the Isese community.
The First Vice President of AATREN, Yeye Folusho Adeogun-Oga, also expressed appreciation to members and Isese practitioners for representing the tradition with pride, dignity and responsibility.
She prayed for long life, prosperity and continued progress for all practitioners, while urging members to remain committed to the values and traditions they represent.
In a show of solidarity, members reciprocated by commending the association’s leadership for providing direction and ensuring the successful coordination of its activities.
The General Secretary, Araba Agboola Awodiran, led prayers of thanksgiving during the meeting, following the opening prayer by Lekan Ajirotutu, Chairman of the Isolo Chapter.
The meeting also featured AATREN’s monthly Ifá divination for Lagos State and Nigeria, an established spiritual activity through which the association seeks divine guidance and direction while reinforcing its commitment to the advancement and preservation of Isese.
The gathering provided another opportunity for members to reflect on the success of the 2026 Isese Festival and reaffirm their collective resolve to protect, promote and develop the traditional religious heritage.
The message from the meeting was unmistakable: Isese remains united, organised and determined to move forward.
