Businessman and political commentator Isaac Fayose has reacted to reports that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike is expected to coordinate the APC’s 2027 campaign structure in Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory.
Fayose made the comment after reports emerged on Monday, September 21, that President Bola Tinubu was moving to give Wike a defined role in the 2027 campaign structure in the two territories.
According to the reports, the proposed arrangement would allow Wike to use his political network in Rivers and the FCT while retaining his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Reacting to the development, Fayose linked it to a video he shared the previous day, in which he claimed that five APC governors were secretly supporting the Nigeria Democratic Congress and that eight more governors would join them.
He said:
“After my video yesterday, Fear don catch APC. They quickly announced Wike who’s PDP to Head campaign in Rivers State & Abuja for APC this morning.”
The claim about the five APC governors has not been independently verified, and Fayose has not publicly identified the governors he referred to.
His latest remark has generated reactions online, with some users questioning his earlier claim while others mocked or supported his comments.
