The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Audu Garba Bosso, has met with other heads of security agencies to strengthen existing collaboration in the fight against criminal activities in the state, especially during the Ember Months.
The meeting, which was held at the office of the Commissioner of Police, brought together heads and representatives of various security agencies, including the 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze; 511 Quick Response Group of the Nigerian Air Force; Department of State Services, DSS; and Nigeria Immigration Service.
Others were the Nigerian Correctional Service; Nigeria Customs Service; National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA; Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC; Federal Fire Service; and Imo State Vigilante Organisation.
In his address, the State Commissioner of Police commended the participating agencies for their continued cooperation and contributions to improving the security situation in the state.
He harped on the importance of sustained collaboration and called on the security heads to ensure that their respective agencies remain proactive, professional and responsive throughout the Ember Months.
In their different remarks, the security heads agreed to strengthen joint security efforts through enhanced intelligence sharing, coordinated operations and sustained vigilance to effectively prevent and disrupt criminal activities across the state.
They pledged continued cooperation and prompt response to emerging security challenges.
CP Bosso used the moment to reaffirm the Command’s resolve to protect lives and property, uphold the rule of law and respect the fundamental rights of citizens.
He called on the people of the state to support the police and other security agencies by providing timely and actionable information to ensure a safe and secure Ember Months period across the state.
