A former chairman of Fakai local government area of Kebbi State, Mohammed Suleiman Gado Marafa, died on Thursday night at his residence in Birnin Kebbi after a brief illness.
He was buried according to Islamic rites on Friday evening.
Top government’s officials led by the Secretary to the State Government, Yakubu Bala Tafida,
commissioners, advisers, former and serving local government chairmen and other politicians were at his residence to condole his family and the people of Fakai on behalf of Governor Nasir Idris.
Marafa was chairman of Fakai local government during former governor Adamu Aliero’s administration, and a special adviser to the current governor.
