Flood allegedly sweeps away 12-year-old girl in Umuahia

A twelve-year-old girl simply identified as Ella, has been swept away by flood in Agbama area of Umuahia, Abia State.
The incident happened at about 7pm on Monday, during a five-hour rain, causing anxiety among the residents of the area.
It was alleged that the young girl was sent on an errand during the rain, before she fell into a big gutter.
It was alleged that the gutters around the Agbama, Road Two and World Bank areas of Umuahia were covered by the risen water levels, a situation that confused the victim to mis-step into the gutters before being swept away.
