“I Cried So Much Last Night”- Mr Macaroni Gets Emotional As He Reflects On Life’s Challenges

Nigerian skit maker and actor Mr Macaroni has opened up about some of the most challenging periods of his life while expressing gratitude to those who stood by him when he needed help.

The actor shared his heartfelt reflection in a Facebook post after becoming emotional over messages from people who reminded him of the ways he had supported them in the past.

According to Mr Macaroni, many of the things people mentioned were no longer fresh in his memory, but their messages made him realise that he had been paying more attention to his struggles and losses than to the difficult situations he had survived.

“I cried so much last night and this morning. I have seen lots of messages from different people about things I did for them at different times most of which I don’t even remember.”

He explained that he has always believed that whatever God blesses him with should also be used to help others.

“The truth is I have always believed in my heart that the only reason God has given to me is to give it back.”

Mr Macaroni noted that he was more comfortable giving than asking for assistance. He said that even when he borrowed money, he usually repaid it with interest without being pressured to do so.

However, he revealed that the past few years were different as he found himself going through financial difficulties and having to reach out to people for assistance.

The actor particularly expressed appreciation to an unnamed person who repeatedly came through for him and helped settle his financial obligations.

“God used one person to settle all that I owed! And this help came over and over again!”

He said the individual preferred to remain anonymous but described the person’s support as extraordinary, noting that it restored his hope when he felt like everything had come to an end.

Mr Macaroni also appreciated his close associates and friends for remaining by his side during the difficult period.

He gave special recognition to music executive Don Jazzy, whom he said had supported him since his university days and continued to do so.

“To Don Jazzy, who has been giving me since my university days up till now, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do, not just for me but for so many others!!!”

The actor also mentioned footballer Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji among those who supported him.

Reflecting on the experience, Mr Macaroni said he is now in a better place and has been focusing on activities that bring him happiness.

Despite the challenges he encountered, he maintained that he has no regrets about helping people, saying the difficult experiences came with valuable lessons and a clearer understanding of life.

He ended his message with a call for people to continue choosing love and kindness despite the difficulties in the world.

“May the love in our hearts be forever greater than the hate in the world.”
