The apex body of all unions in Kebbi state, the Nigeria labour Congress NLC,on Monday commended the Kebbi state governor Dr Nasir Idris for approving consequential salaries adjustment to all Kebbi state primary school teachers.
The NLC chairman, Kebbi state Comrade Murtala Usman,in a statement stated that aside the new salary structure for primary school teachers he said the governor had broke record in Kebbi state and the entire northern Nigeria because no governor ever approved responsibility allowances for primary teachers .
Usman maintained that Idris has proven that he is indeed a teacher friendly governor who is poised to revamp primary education being the very foundation of basic education for all.
The union added that at the union level they will continue to take side with every development efforts of Kebbi state government as a way of encouraging him to do more for the entire state.

” We commend the governor for the kind gesture extended to primary teachers and we rejoice with them for the new salary structure and the responsibility allowances,no doubt it will give teachers a new sense of belonging”.
He said while they enjoy their new pay he urged them to live above board by justifying the increments through dedication to duties and maintaining high professional standards in the classes.
