Lady tackles female doctor who claimed she “dressed inappropriately” to the hospital

A Nigerian woman, Glory Okotie, has criticised a female doctor who told her that her outfit was inappropriate for a hospital visit.

In a Facebook post shared on Monday, September 28, 2026, Glory said she believed the doctor should focus on treating patients rather than commenting on what they wear.

According to Glory, she questioned why the doctor considered her outfit inappropriate when she was also wearing dreadlocks, a nose ring, hoop earrings and several fashionable rings.

“Went to the hospital and the doctor told me I was dressed inappropriately,” she wrote.

Glory said she did not immediately respond because she was in a good mood after eating a satisfying meal.

She then imagined how she would react if the doctor herself wore a short skirt to work. Glory said she would not have a problem with it because, in her words, “wetin concern me with your mini skirt?”

She argued that the doctor had no reason to police her clothing simply because she was visiting the hospital.

Glory also questioned why the doctor considered her own appearance acceptable while working as a doctor but described Glory’s outfit as inappropriate.

“How your own dey appropriate as a doctor but my own no dey appropriate as a visitor?” she asked.

Her post has sparked discussion about whether medical professionals should comment on patients’ clothing and where the line should be drawn between professional standards and personal choice.
