SEAN POLOTEE unveils innovative broadcast platform as stakeholders, entertainment and political personalities rally behind Máágbọ̀n movement

A new chapter in Nigeria’s broadcasting landscape was opened in Lagos on Friday, September 18, 2026, as Máágbọ̀n FM was officially unveiled before an audience comprising media practitioners, entertainers, political personalities, colleagues, friends, family members and other well-wishers.

The unveiling also served as a celebration of the vision and ingenuity of multifaceted media personality, Sean Polotee, popularly known as the Báálẹ̀ of Máágbọ̀n Republic, who is the brain behind the conception and implementation of the new broadcast platform.

Built on the philosophy of “Máágbọ̀n” – don’t shake, the platform represents resilience, steadfastness and the determination to remain focused despite the challenges confronting individuals and society.

According to the vision behind the project, Máágbọ̀n FM is designed to go beyond conventional entertainment broadcasting by creating a platform where information, entertainment, education, inspiration, talent discovery and social impact can exist side by side.

The initiative is particularly focused on young Nigerians, with plans to use broadcasting as a tool to encourage self-development, entrepreneurship, creativity, responsible citizenship and self-reliance.

The platform is also expected to provide opportunities for emerging talents to showcase their abilities, connect with relevant opportunities and receive the exposure required to develop their careers.

The Máágbọ̀n FM concept seeks to establish a community of listeners and contributors who are encouraged to remain resilient, discover their purpose and contribute positively to society, irrespective of prevailing circumstances.

Among the notable personalities at the unveiling was the Vice Chairman of Agbado-Oke-Odo Local Government, Hon. Kehinde Yushau Shobayo, who attended the occasion with his amiable wife.

Hon. Shobayo expressed goodwill towards the initiative and commended the Máágbọ̀n FM team for embarking on a project capable of producing positive societal impact. He particularly acknowledged the potential of the platform to influence and improve the lives of youths through constructive information, inspiration and opportunities.

The event also witnessed an outpouring of goodwill and encouragement from guests and supporters who expressed confidence in the philosophy behind the Máágbọ̀n movement and its aspirations for positive change.

As part of its drive to promote indigenous content and professional broadcasting, indigenous and professional Yorùbá broadcasters are invited to submit their programme synopses for consideration via [email protected].

The management of Máágbọ̀n FM is also opening its doors to potential investors, corporate organisations, philanthropists, strategic partners and individuals who share the vision of using media to create meaningful social impact.

Interested partners are invited to explore opportunities for collaboration, investment, sponsorship, programme development, talent discovery and other forms of strategic partnership that can contribute to the sustainability and expansion of the platform.

The management believes that strategic partnerships will be instrumental in developing Máágbọ̀n FM into a sustainable media brand capable of reaching a wider audience and creating more opportunities for young Nigerians.

Meanwhile, live transmission is scheduled to commence on October 1, 2026, in commemoration of Nigeria’s Independence Day anniversary.

The choice of the date is expected to give further significance to the beginning of Máágbọ̀n FM’s broadcast journey, as the platform prepares to introduce its distinctive blend of entertainment, culture, conversations, education and youth-focused programming to its audience.
