Martin & Coretta Foreva: Meagan Good Crowns Jonathan Majors Her ‘Greatest Earthly Treasure,’ Deems Him ‘My Martin’ In Birthday Message

Meagan Good wants the world to know exactly what kind of time she’s on for her husband, Jonathan Majors’ birthday. The actress celebrated him with a sweet photo dump and a very loaded nickname that had the internet revisiting one of their most talked-about relationship comparisons.
Good called Majors her “best friend,” “king,” “protector,” “teacher,” “lover,” “life journey partner,” and her “greatest earthly treasure.” But the title that really caught attention was simple: “My Martin.”

According to The Jasmine Brand, the birthday tribute appears to play off the couple’s longtime Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King comparison.
And yes, there is some history here.
Back in 2024, Majors described Good as his “Coretta” while discussing the support she gave him during his criminal trial. He famously said she had “held me down like a Coretta.” That comparison quickly became a major talking point because, well, invoking Martin and Coretta is not exactly a casual relationship metaphor.
The comparison also drew a response from Bernice King, daughter of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King. As Complex reported, King pushed back on the framing, saying, “My mother wasn’t a prop,” while emphasizing that her mother was a force in her own right.
But Good has clearly decided that the comparison is hers to embrace.
During a 2025 appearance on The Breakfast Club, Good was asked whether Majors had proposed by asking her to be his Coretta. Her response was basically, not exactly, but the title still applies.
“I am his Coretta, though,” she said.
Now she has taken things one step further by officially giving Majors his own title.
“My Love. My best friend. My king. My protector. My teacher. My lover. My Martin,” Good wrote in her birthday message.
The couple secretly married at their Los Angeles home on March 18, 2025, in an intimate ceremony with their mothers involved in the wedding.
Good’s latest tribute also gets deeply sentimental. She wrote that Majors has helped her heal and made her “stronger yet softer,” adding that she never imagined life could feel the way it does now.
“It’s like living inside of love,” she wrote.
So, happy birthday to Jonathan Majors. Apparently, around these parts, he is not just Jonathan anymore. He is her “Martin.”
