A public affairs analyst, Teddy Onyejuwe, has said Senate President Godswill Akpabio and activist Sandra Duru, popularly known as Dr Prof Mgbeke, should be left alone to fight their battle after their alleged conspiracy against Kogi Central senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan backfired.
Onyejuwe made the assertion in a statement on Monday.
His comments came amid an alleged leaked tape revealing a conversation between Akpabio and Duru.
According to the leaked tape, Akpabio allegedly asked Duru to campaign against Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Akpabio and Akpoti-Uduaghan are yet to comment on the viral tape.
Reacting, Onyejuwe said the leaked tape was an indication that the alleged conspiracy against Akpoti-Uduaghan had exploded.
He said the development should prompt Nigerians to ask questions concerning who was behind the narrative by Duru against the Akpoti-Uduaghan.
“Whatever happened between Sandra Duru and Akpabio should now be addressed by the two of them.
“If there was an agreement, let those who allegedly made it explain. If there was a conspiracy, let the evidence establish it.
“Duru and Akpabio should fight their own battle. Natasha should not be their ammunition,” he stated.
Recall that in 2025, Duru had accused Akpoti-Uduaghan of offering her N200 million as a bribe to implicate Akpabio. However, Akpoti-Uduaghan dismissed the claim.
In March 2025, the 10th Senate voted to suspend Akpoti-Uduaghan after she submitted a formal petition accusing Akpabio of sexual harassment and abuse of office.
Akpabio subsequently filed a N200 billion defamation lawsuit against Akpoti-Uduaghan.
