Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has won the PDP governorship primary rerun in Gombe State.
He got 2,054 votes and will fly the party flag in the 2027 election.
Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki came second with 389 votes, while Usman Aliyu Garry got 112.
A total of 2,555 voters were registered for the exercise, and Pantami took about 80.4 percent of the votes.
The rerun was held on Tuesday after the Federal High Court in Gombe cancelled the earlier primary on September 24.
Justice Amina Aliyu Mohammed said the first process broke party rules and electoral laws, especially because some cleared aspirants were left out.
Pantami had first emerged on May 26 through voice affirmation, after he joined the PDP from the APC governorship race.
Mailantarki and Garry went to court and argued that it was not a valid primary.
The court ordered the party to hold a new primary within 30 days.
The PDP picked September 29 and cleared all three men to take part.
The judge did not grant the request to stop Pantami from running under the PDP for good, and his lawyers said the ruling did not bar him from the rerun.
The Supreme Court also gave a judgment on the same day.
It restored key parts of the Electoral Act 2026 on party membership registers and candidate nominations, including the rule that members names must appear on registers sent to INEC within the set period.
It did not order a fresh primary in Gombe or disqualify Pantami, and the PDP said the ruling does not affect his eligibility.
