Senator Shehu Sani has met with a group of widows of soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty, as part of his ongoing door-to-door engagement with residents in support of Senator Uba Sani and his own Senatorial ambition.

During the meeting, Sani commiserated with the women over the loss of their husbands, acknowledging the sacrifices made by the fallen soldiers in the service of Nigeria.

He assured the widows that the sacrifices of their late husbands would not be forgotten, stressing the need for the families they left behind to receive the support and attention due to them.

Sani also made a personal financial contribution to assist the affected families and pledged to present their concerns to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with a view to seeking appropriate action on their legitimate rights and entitlements.

He said the welfare of families of fallen soldiers deserves continued attention, particularly given the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces in defending the territorial integrity and security of the country.

The engagement also forms part of Sani’s ongoing grassroots outreach, during which he has been meeting residents and various groups to listen to their concerns and discuss issues affecting their communities.

The widows, who expressed appreciation for the gesture, also used the occasion to highlight the challenges confronting their families and appealed for greater attention to the welfare and entitlements of families of soldiers who died in active service.
