Several people have died after a coach carrying Dutch tourists crashed in eastern Switzerland.
The accident happened on Thursday evening, September 10, between Susch and Zernez in the canton of Graubünden.
The coach was travelling through the Engadine Valley when it hit a roadside barrier and overturned.
Police said no other vehicle appeared to be involved.
The bus was operated as part of a trip organised by Dutch travel company OAD.
Dutch travel industry association ANVR said 48 passengers were on board. All the passengers were Dutch nationals.
Emergency services launched a major rescue operation after receiving reports of the crash.
Police officers, firefighters and medical teams attended the scene. At least five rescue helicopters and several ambulances were deployed.
Photographs show the coach lying on its side beside the road. Its windscreen was damaged, and part of the roadside barrier had been destroyed.
Several injured passengers received treatment at the scene before emergency workers transported others to hospitals.
Swiss police confirmed multiple deaths and injuries. Authorities have not released the exact number of victims.
OAD described the incident as a terrible accident and said its thoughts were with everyone affected.
ANVR said relatives were receiving support while authorities worked to establish what happened.
Investigators have started examining the coach, the road and the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The identities of the victims have not been released.
