Nigerian activist and 2027 presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, on Thursday joined a protest in New York, United States, demanding an end to the war in Gaza.
Sowore disclosed this in a post shared on his official X handle on Friday, saying he joined the demonstration to show solidarity with Palestinians.
The activist condemned what he described as the alleged violation of human rights by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

“I joined to make it clear that Nigerians stand for justice and human rights for Palestinians,” Sowore wrote.
Multiple protests were held in New York on Thursday as Netanyahu addressed the United Nations General Assembly.
More than 100 people were reportedly arrested during the demonstrations, as thousands of protesters called for accountability over Israel’s military operations in Gaza and an end to US military support for Israel.
