Controversial Nigerian social media activist Verydarkman has shared a video of himself praying in China, shortly after his recent criticism of Apostle Arome over comments about Nigeria’s role in the world.
In the video, VDM said he had “exported prayers” to China and expressed optimism about positive developments for Nigeria.
“I have successfully exported prayers to China. Good news is coming our way. Trade by barter. Nigeria, the change is coming.”
The video comes amid VDM’s recent clash with Apostle Arome, whom he criticised over remarks about Nigeria and the country’s development.
Arome had spoken about Nigeria’s role as a nation of revival and questioned the emphasis some Nigerians place on comparing the country with nations developing engines and other technological innovations.
VDM took issue with the remarks, arguing that Nigeria should focus more on innovation, creativity and technological development rather than relying primarily on religious expectations.
His latest video from China appeared to combine the themes of prayer and international engagement, with VDM joking about “exporting” prayers and describing the development as “trade by barter.”
The activist did not provide further details about what he meant by “good news” or the specific changes he expected to see in Nigeria.
