“Why should I be terrified?” – Rita Edochie replies folks claiming she’s worried over Judy Austin’s lawsuit

Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has expressed anticipation ahead of her reported court battle with fellow actress Judy Austin.

Reacting to claims that the lawsuit had been causing her sleepless nights, Edochie said she sees the legal battle as an opportunity to address issues she had previously chosen not to discuss publicly.

The actress said she was looking forward to the court proceedings but was currently focused on celebrating May Edochie’s birthday.

Edochie added that she had been observing developments and deliberately keeping several things to herself despite having opportunities to speak out.

She suggested that Judy’s legal action had given her an avenue to reveal information she had previously withheld, adding that she was prepared to expose what she knows when the matter comes before the court.

Her post reads …

“This lawsuit dey give Rita Edochie sleepless night.
Mee? As how nah?
Nwa nne, na better opportunity wey I dey find to dey talk wetin I never talk dem give me so I don grab wella.

29th is the code, but first, get ready for my great darling daughter’s birthday, Queen May Yul Edochie; that is more important.

Observing and keeping a lot to myself. There are so many things I could have said before now, but I deliberately chose silence because I didn’t want to force certain conversations into the public space.

But since a lawsuit has now been brought into the picture, let the facts come out. Let the law hold me down if everything I have been saying is not the truth.
Where is the defamation if I have spoken falsely? Then let the court establish it.
But if what I have been saying is true, then why should I be terrified of saying even more? More dey come.

In fact, I have a whole lot more to say, and that is why I thank God for this lawsuit every single day.
You proof have basically handed me the microphone I have been waiting for.
I go use am open fowl nyash!
I go use am well, I swear.
Not with rumours, not with fabricated stories, not with whispers from unknown sources.
I will speak about what I know, what I have said, what I can stand by, and what I believe can be defended before the appropriate authorities.
You cannot drag somebody”.
