Zenith Bank Opens Digital, Branch Channels for Dangote Refinery IPO Subscription

Zenith Bank has opened its digital platforms and branches to Nigerians in the country and abroad seeking to participate in the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals, giving investors multiple channels to subscribe to the landmark offer.

The bank is a Receiving Bank for the transaction and a designated electronic application channel, with subscriptions available through its website, mobile banking application, internet banking, USSD, corporate internet banking and branches nationwide.

With a network of 456 branches and 84 cash centres, Zenith Bank said investors can access the offer from virtually anywhere, including through its digital platforms outside normal banking hours.

The subscription process is linked to investors’ Bank Verification Numbers (BVN), providing an identity and security framework for applications from submission through allotment.

The Dangote Refinery IPO opens on Monday, September 14, 2026, and will remain open for 30 days, closing on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

According to the prospectus, the shares are being offered at ₦525 per share, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares, equivalent to ₦5,250.

The offer is targeting ₦2.15 trillion, making it the largest equity offering ever undertaken on the African continent. The prospectus also provides for a Retail Investor Incentive Programme under which qualifying retail investors who subscribe and hold their shares may be eligible for bonus shares, subject to regulatory approvals and the applicable terms.

Zenith Bank said its digital infrastructure and nationwide branch network are positioned to support investors seeking to participate in the offer.

The bank also pointed to its experience handling its own recent public offering, which was executed largely through digital channels, as evidence of its capacity to manage high-volume electronic investment applications.

That digital infrastructure, the bank said, has subsequently been strengthened through a broad technological overhaul aimed at improving its retail banking capabilities while maintaining the level of service traditionally associated with its corporate operations.

Within the broader Dangote Refinery transaction, Quantum Zenith Capital & Investments Limited is among the joint issuing houses, while Zenith Bank is responsible for receiving applications and providing electronic channels for investors.

The bank said its participation reflects its long-standing role in major financial transactions and its combination of physical reach and digital banking capabilities.

Investors wishing to participate in the offer can fund their Zenith Bank accounts and submit their applications through the bank’s available channels before the offer closes on October 13, 2026.

However, Zenith Bank stressed that investors should rely on the official prospectus for the full terms and conditions of the offer and comply with applicable regulations. Prospective investors are also advised to carefully review the prospectus and seek independent professional advice where necessary before making investment decisions.
