Captain Smart Supports Over 200 Youth With Heavy-duty Machine Training

Broadcast journalist and aspiring Gomoa West Member of Parliament, Captain Smart, has supported more than 200 young people in Gomoa Ajumako to receive training in heavy-duty machine operation.

The initiative is aimed at equipping the beneficiaries with practical and job-ready skills that could improve their chances of securing employment and earning a living.

The selected young people are undergoing training designed to give them hands-on knowledge in the operation of heavy-duty machinery, a skill that can open opportunities in areas such as construction, mining, road works and other industries.

Captain Smart, who is seeking to represent the Gomoa West constituency in Parliament, has been supporting the training as part of efforts to empower young people in the area.

The programme has received attention from residents and young people who see practical skills training as an important way of preparing the youth for employment and entrepreneurship.

The beneficiaries are expected to gain technical knowledge that can help them compete for jobs requiring specialised machine operation skills.

The initiative comes at a time when youth unemployment remains a major concern for many communities, with calls for more opportunities that provide young people with practical skills they can use to earn a living.
