Friends Reclaim Wedding Gifts After Groom Quits Their Club

A social media post has sparked reactions after an X user shared a story about a group of friends who allegedly took back wedding gifts from a member after he left their club.

According to …, the friends formed the club earlier in the year and agreed to support any member who got married with three items: a 32-inch smart TV, a deep freezer and a washing machine.

The first member got married in April, and the other members kept their promise. They contributed money, bought the three items and presented them to him as wedding gifts.

However, about two weeks after the wedding, the man reportedly told the group that he was no longer interested in being part of the club. He later left the group’s WhatsApp platform.

The X user said the other members decided to visit the man at his home the following weekend without informing him in advance.

According to …, the friends took back the television, deep freezer and washing machine they had given him as wedding gifts.

“We carried away the TV, deep freezer, and washing machine and left,” the user wrote.
