  • He emphasized that his focus was on investing his earnings rather than purchasing luxury items at that time.
  • The revelation highlights his approach to financial management and prioritizing investments over extravagant spending.

Nigerian singer and entrepreneur Mr Eazi has revealed that he did not own a Patek Philippe watch when he released his popular song, ‘Patek’.

The singer explained that, at the time he recorded the song, he was focused on investing his earnings rather than spending heavily on luxury items.

According to Mr Eazi, despite singing about the high-end timepiece, he had invested all his money and did not own a single Patek watch.

“At the time I sang ‘Patek,’ I was investing all my money and didn’t own a single Patek. Don’t trust artistes,” Mr Eazi said.

His comment highlights the difference that can sometimes exist between an artiste’s music and their personal lifestyle, as musicians may create songs around aspirational themes, luxury and success without necessarily owning or experiencing everything referenced in their lyrics.
