Teachers’ day: Kebbi NUT commends teachers’ resilience, Gov Idris’ welfare efforts

In a symbolic marking of 2026 international teachers day, Kebbi state Nigeria union of teachers has joined world tutors to commemorate the world teachers day with deep appreciation to Kebbi and Nigerian teacher’s perseverance and resistance amid economic challenges in the country.
The Kebbi state Chairman of Nigeria union of teachers NUT, Comrade Zaki Sarki SK in his world teachers day message to the entire classrooms teachers hailed teachers for their huge contributions to basic education in the state which he described as a catalyst for nation building.
Zaki noted that a country without teachers is an empty nation with empty technology and science because teachers produce doctors, nurses, engineers and entrepreneurs who runs the country and the economy of every nation.
” We salute teachers resilience who despite economic challenges refused to abandon their classes,so today is your day and we celebrate you as you Mark 2026 world teachers day“.

On the sidelines, however, the state NUT chief use the occasion to commend the teacher governor comrade Nasir Idris for his glaring concern to teachers through improved renumerations, provision of teaching aids and construction, renovations and recruitment of teachers to revamp basic education in the state.
He urged teachers in the state to reflect on their invaluable contributions to classrooms teaching with a view to improving it for optimum performance.
Sarki assured Kebbi teachers that NUT will stand with them through thick and thin and would continue to strive to ensure all their rights and privileges are given to them through holistic and lawful engagements with concerned authorities.he added
