“Why Are My Fellow Youths Still Defending APC?” – Man Questions Nigerians After Spending Minimum Wage On Clothes

• A Nigerian man has criticised fellow youths who continue to defend the APC-led government despite the country’s economic challenges, describing them as part of Nigeria’s problem.
• His comments came after he reportedly spent his entire monthly minimum wage on a shirt, trousers and shoes, sparking debate about hardship, tribalism and political loyalty.

A Nigerian man has criticised youths defending the All Progressives Congress (APC) government, blaming tribalism and political loyalty for some of the country’s persistent problems.

The man spoke out after reportedly spending his entire monthly minimum wage on a shirt, a pair of trousers and shoes, highlighting the financial difficulties many Nigerians face amid the high cost of living.

In his remarks, he questioned why young Nigerians continue to support the ruling party despite the country’s current economic situation.

“We Nigerian youths are the biggest problem of this country because, tell me, given the current situation in Nigeria, why are my fellow youths still defending the APC government? Secondly, trib@lism is what has kept this country the way it is,” he said.

His comments have attracted reactions on X, with some users agreeing that young Nigerians should hold political leaders accountable, while others focused on his decision to spend his entire monthly earnings on clothing.

One commenter described APC-supporting youths as “the worst,” while another suggested that the man should tag the party and ask for financial assistance after spending his salary on the outfit.

The discussion has also drawn attention to the financial pressure facing low-income earners and the role of political divisions in Nigeria’s public discourse.
