The Governor has announced renewed efforts to attract investment into Akwa Ibom State’s power sector and accelerate the Ibom Deep Seaport project, following his recent return from the United Kingdom.
According to the Governor, he accompanied President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on a State visit to the UK, where he engaged with key investors, particularly in the energy sector, as part of ongoing efforts to position the state for sustained economic growth.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening power infrastructure and advancing the Ibom Deep Seaport, describing both as strategic projects critical to unlocking economic opportunities and driving long-term development.
The Governor noted that while the projects require time and careful execution, the state is already making steady progress and witnessing strong investor interest.
Expressing optimism, he said the government remains focused on delivering improved power supply and realizing the seaport project for the benefit of the people of Akwa Ibom State.
